Inside The Goldmine 3

This painting " Inside The GoldMine "is in the same series as 'Band Of Joy" . They are both meditation paintings. I like the idea of a trying to capture an abstract moment in time. The Band of Yellow Gold that runs like a seam across the painting is like seeking spiritual treasure in the darkness. Once has to look within to find it. A fleeting moment , the present moment , has to be still yet full of motion for everything continually changes. These were some of my inspirational ideas that i was thinking about whilst creating this piece. I love how one can suggest metamorphic or biomorphic shapes so that the viewer can determine the translation of the motif viewed in their own mind. i purposely created a shadowy scene to give an extra aura of mystery and drama to this painting.
This is an acrylic painting on canvas supplied with fitted hanging gear and it will be packaged in a crate for transportation.
