Romance elicits an enormous spectrum of emotions for each of us, within romance we can experience passion, love, excitement and joy to anguish and pain. The agony and the ecstasy in life.
By having the flowers drip different colours, this felt like a very natural artistic method to convey the multitudes of emotional complexities that arise within romance and love.
The brilliant green background ,intentionally unnatural, helps to further illuminate the passions encountered within the flowers of romance.
I've always loved abstract landscapes and I seriously rate Cy Twombly's art. I adore his series of large highly coloured abstract flower paintings, their simplicity yet powerful beauty.
