Sunset 2

When i was younger i travelled some of the islands in French Polynesia. I have always loved Paul Gaugin's paintings and i went to his house on Tahiti. I also went out to Bora Bora and then on to Rangiroa before spending Christmas on Manihi. I loved French Polynesia, the sunsets were amazing. This painting is a stylised memory of watching sunsets out on Rangiroa, a vast and incredibly remote lagoon enclosed by a 1/2 km wide atoll. i felt as if i were at the edge of the world just watching beautiful fire skies as the sunset over the crystal clear turquoise waters of this vast lagoon.
This is an acrylic painting on canvas supplied with fitted hanging gear and it will be packaged in a crate for transportation.
