Rebirth Potential

I love the spiritual concept and real life actualisation of one's rebirth potential. The theme of shamanic death, the dying to the old ways and the resultant inevitable rebirth to the new ways or a new life is always of continuous fascination to me. Wether its an adult going through a transformational spiritual process, of which i have undertaken a few, a mother giving birth to a new life or a hibernating bear awakening after sleeping through a long winter and emerging from a cave to meet a new spring and summer, i have tried to create a new life form, appearing through the paint, albeit in a non defined abstract manner. Change is inevitable and we all have to adapt to the different seasons of our lives.

Artistically i was influenced by some of Cy Twombly's and Lee Krasner's mark-marking whilst creating this painting.

This is an acrylic painting on canvas supplied with fitted hanging gear and it will be packaged in a crate for transportation
