Love Will Tear Us Apart Again ....
This is my 8th painting in my ‘Frequencies Of Love’ series .
'Love will Tear Us Apart' has always been one of my most favourite songs since I was 15. I think it's a perfect description of emotional searching within. Always seeking for something wonderful to appear and then the beauty, drama tension and conflict that only love can create. I suffer from Utopian thinking and often i get brought back to earth with a bump...!!
Cy Twombly is one of my favourite artists and I have been influenced by some of his painting techniques whilst making this piece. All the frequencies bars are made with a palette knife , layer upon layer upon layer until they really start to reverberate , relentless patience required until the colours start to pop ...!!
This is a Zen contemplation artwork. I have been on multiple residential meditation retreats and I adore the personal transformation into harmony that they create during the week or the 10 days spent in meditation. As though Frequencies Of Love were created and developed within oneself.
