‘In The Midnight Hour, DreamTime No.2’
The inspiration comes from the time I spent living in solo retreat in a hut in the Peru Amazon Rainforest studying shamanism during 2012-2013.
Often I would be awake in The Jungle alone ‘In The Midnight Hour’ visioning, just watching the ever changing evolving morphing shapes during my DreamTime Lucid Dreaming….
It what I called The DreamTime TV….
Lots of modern surrealist dancing bio morphic figures and shapes permanently evolving and rearranging …
I love the black white and grey paintings by Pablo Picasso such as ‘The Kiss’ and his epic masterpiece ‘Guernica’ ... as well as some abstract artists like Robert Motherwell’s ‘Elegy to the Spanish Republic’ paintings and France great abstract painter Pierre Soulages all are big influences as well as Franz Kline …..all artists who have a powerful use of black and white painting.
I love the use black and white , it echoes day and night, dark and light, death and life , yin and yang as well as the ends of the spectrum. Everything exists between black and white , all colour exists within the language of grey.
