Awake in The Dream
I love Lucid Dreaming and making Art helps me to access The DreamTime where everything is beautiful and mysterious. I love the work of Joan Miro and Alexander Calder and during pandemic I made lots of Surreal drawings when I was stuck at home which I made into prints. In this painting I have tried to emulate some of those drawings and also reference another major inspiration which is Constantine Brancusi.
I like the idea of a golden head almost metamorphosing out of an eagles head with a spiral eye and a golden beak. I have The Hero with his golden sunglasses as The Dreamer conversing with a big blue bouncing ball with giant eyes.
Fun playful colourful surrealism , a dream feeling which has been made as painterly as possible.
I have incorporated so many of favourite art making techniques into this painting and everyone that I have showed it to says it's the best painting that I have made to date ...!!
It's certainly the most vibrant and fun ....
I hope you love it too ...
I'm sure that this piece will find a loving home very quickly ...
This is an acrylic painting on canvas supplied with fitted hanging gear attached.
